Rental safety information
- Children under 6 must wear a life jacket while the boat is moving. We recommend them for all kids.
- Clip the engine cut-off lanyard to the driver whenever the engine is running.
- Biscayne Bay has many manatee and idle-speed zones. Watch the signs; fines are steep.
- Stay in marked channels. The flats get very shallow at low tide.
- Keep a slow, no-wake speed near marinas, the Miami River and anchored boats at the sandbars.
- The driver does not drink. Florida BUI laws are strictly enforced.
Read the full rules at FWC Boating Regulations.
